Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance
On September 10, 2012, President Obama issued a proclamation renaming "Patriot Day" as "Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance," in accordance with both Public Laws 107-89 and 111-13 (the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act).

On September 17, 1787, thirty-nine men signed the U.S. Constitution. Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the Constitution and recognizes all born in the U.S. and individuals who became citizens by naturalization.
