This Sourcebook Volume 1 is the initial result of the collaboration between the Women Veterwans Health Strategic Health Group and VA Palo Alto Health Care System. The first in a planned series of reports, this volume describes sociodemographic characterisÂtics and health care utilization patterns of women Veteran patients in the VHA using Fiscal Year 2009 data as well as longitudinal data from 2000-2009. Its primary purpose is to provide data to inform policy and program planning as VHA implements and evaluates new ways of providing care to women Veterans.
